Proposed Amendment to Agreement to 01-001-2018 with American Ecotech, LLC to provide web access support for solar facilities air monitoring – APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN AGREEMENT NO. 01-005-2024a WITH AMERICAN ECOTECH, LLC.

Proposed Agreement with City of California City, to utilize AB134/1550 Grant Funds for fire engine replacement – APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN AGREEMENT NO. 01-004-2024 WITH CITY OF CALIFORNIA CITY.

Proposed Agreement with Muroc Joint Unified School District to provide up to $90,000 from AB 923 funds to replace a 2008 high-emitting diesel-fueled Blue Bird school bus – APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN AGREEMENT NO. 01-006-2024 WITH MUROC JOINT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A NEW SCHOOL BUS.

Proposed Amendment No. 2 to Agreement 05-002-2021 with Kern County Fire Department to Replace Crew Transporter with Carl Moyer Program Grant Funds – APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN AMENDMENT NO. 01-001-2024a WITH KERN COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT.

Community Air Protection (CAP) Funds as Authorized Under Assembly Bill (AB) 134 – ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2024-001-01 REQUESTING FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 AB 134 CAP FUNDS; AUTHORIZE THE APCO TO SIGN THE AWARD LETTER; SUBMIT A CERTIFIED COPY OF THE BOARD RESOLUTION TO CARB AND DO ALL OTHER ACTS NECESSARY TO RESERVE AND RECEIVE FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 CAP FUNDS.

Consider New Classification--Air Quality Compliance Supervisor. This position will supervise compliance and technical staff and confer with the California Air Resources Board to develop plans and rules to assist with bringing the District into attainment. APPROVE THE ADDITION OF A NEW CLASSIFICATION--AIR QUALITY COMPLIANCE SUPERVISOR; AUTHORIZE THE APCO TO INFORM KERN COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCES AND TO TAKE ALL OTHER STEPS NECESSARY TO FILL THE POSITION.

Consider Appointment of Mr. Gary Ray, Jr., as the Air Pollution Control Officer for Eastern Kern APCD - APPOINT MR. GARY RAY, JR., AS THE EASTERN KERN APCD AIR POLLUTION CONTROL OFFICER, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 11, 2024, AT STEP “1” IN SALARY RANGE 79.1 OF THE KERN COUNTY SALARY TABLE; AUTHORIZE THE CURRENT APCO TO INFORM KERN COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCES OF MR. RAY’S APPOINTMENT AND TO TAKE ALL OTHER STEPS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE APPOINTMENT.
